Seven years leading IT operations, cybersecurity compliance, and systems administration in the U.S. Army — now channeling that discipline into full-stack web development with React, Next.js, and Python.

Seven years of hands-on IT experience — from network security to full-stack development.

Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects across non-classified and secret (SIPR) networks. Delivered Tier I/II support, resolving 500+ help desk tickets.
CompTIA Security+ certified; run weekly information assurance scans with a 100% DoD security compliance record.
LAN/WAN infrastructure, Cisco router/switch configuration, encryption management, and secure network communications.
SDN-L certified; deploys and troubleshoots satellite communications equipment, and is accountable for $5M+ in COMSEC and cryptographic assets with zero loss.
Subject matter expert and primary instructor for Satellite Deployable Nodes, training and evaluating 500+ Special Forces candidates.
For seven years in the Army I ran the communications architecture connecting five regional sites, where a dropped link wasn't an inconvenience — it was a mission failure. Leading distributed technical teams under that kind of pressure taught me to build things that don't break, document them so someone else can pick up where I left off, and assume everything will be tested at the worst possible moment.
Full-stack development isn't a pivot away from that — it's the same work with a different toolset. My B.S. in Information Systems from UMBC gave me the fundamentals; the field gave me the instincts.

CompTIA Security+ certified with hands-on experience running DoD compliance scans and hardening networks.
Currently expanding my full-stack skill set while building real-world projects from the ground up.
Served as a primary instructor for 500+ personnel. If I can't break something down clearly enough for someone else to grasp it, I haven't actually mastered it yet.
I'm looking for full-stack development roles where I can put my systems administration and cybersecurity background to work.
